At an October 30 press conference, Tan Hongjiang, Deputy Director of the Electricity Department at the National Energy Administration, highlighted the accelerating progress of computing-power synergy and the rapid expansion of direct green electricity connections. He noted that the policy framework is being continuously refined, with various regions actively advancing construction projects that integrate computing power with green energy. Moving forward, the National Energy Administration will focus on two key areas: First, it will fully implement the call to "strengthen computing with electricity and promote electricity with computing." This involves executing computing-power synergy initiatives outlined in the 15th Five-Year Plan for building a new-type power system, and coordinating the development plans for new-type power grids and integrated computing power networks. Second, the administration will treat models like direct green electricity connections as a vital pathway to enhance computing-power synergy. It will further examine related policy measures, provide guidance to local governments and enterprises in implementing demonstration projects and green electricity direct connection plans tailored to local conditions, select exemplary projects for shared learning, and foster replicable, scalable practices to drive high-quality development in this field.
