SpaceX is offering additional compensation to employees to encourage temporary relocation in order to facilitate the launch of supercomputers at its two major data centers, Colossus1 and Colossus2. According to internal emails obtained by the media, volunteers are required to relocate to Memphis, Tennessee, or Southaven, Mississippi, for a six-week on-site assignment. During this period, employees will receive a 20% increase in their base salary or hourly wage as an allowance, along with the opportunity to earn bonuses tied to project performance. The company will cover transportation and relocation expenses. Employees who sign up must have a good performance record, with priority given to those who have been with the company for at least one year. Applicants do not need management experience, though construction-related experience is a plus, and personal initiative is considered the most important criterion.
