The share price of data center infrastructure company Elice Inc. plummeted on its debut day, raising investor concerns about the rationale behind massive investments in the AI sector. The Seoul-based company opened sharply lower, plunging as much as 38%, and closed with a 32% drop, marking the worst first-day performance for a major IPO in South Korea. The company had previously raised KRW 201 billion (approximately USD 151 million) through its IPO, pricing the shares at the high end of the guidance range and attracting a staggering 400 times oversubscription from retail investors.
