On October 20, JPMorgan Chase released an assessment report on Tuesday stating that most global banks have limited exposure to Nvidia-backed cloud computing company CoreWeave (CRWV.O). This follows a significant decline in CoreWeave's stock and bond prices last week, driven by investor concerns over its debt financing. JPMorgan Chase noted that while major U.S. investment banks and Japan's Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group may have potential exposure to CoreWeave ranging from $1 billion to $3 billion, most European and Asian banks have exposure of less than $500 million. These exposures are primarily through delayed draw term loans held by special purpose entities, with funds to be released upon the project reaching specific milestones. JPMorgan Chase believes that, from the perspective of the financing banks, their exposure to CoreWeave is well-managed and adequately secured.
