On October 19, as per the UK's 'Daily Telegraph', Microsoft has reportedly pulled out of a data center joint project with UK cloud service provider Nscale in Loughton, Essex. Initially, Microsoft intended to serve as the main tenant of the data center. However, owing to several delays and the prognosis that electricity supply would not be accessible until the 2030s, the company decided to terminate the partnership. Presently, Nscale is in search of alternative power sources and is considering other locations for potential expansion. Microsoft's decision to withdraw could potentially affect Nscale's plans for an Initial Public Offering (IPO), as the company aims to secure financing of up to $3 billion.
