Microsoft has pulled out of a data center agreement in Essex with the UK-based enterprise Nscale, dealing a substantial blow to Nscale's ambitious plans for a multibillion-dollar public offering. Serving as one of Nscale's primary clients, Microsoft recently issued a notice to terminate the cooperation pact that was unveiled the previous year. This development marks a significant setback for Nscale, given that Microsoft was initially slated to be the flagship tenant at its inaugural UK data center, situated in Loughton, Essex. Even though the AI computing power sector has not been performing up to expectations, Microsoft's move could still throw a wrench into Nscale's aspirations to move forward with a Wall Street listing that could be valued at up to $35 billion (roughly £26 billion).
