On September 9, Amazon and server manufacturer Wiwynn announced the expansion of their advanced manufacturing facility in Socorro, Texas, USA. By the end of 2027, the facility is expected to create nearly 1,000 new jobs, with the total workforce exceeding 2,500 next year and projected to reach 4,000 when operating at full capacity. Wiwynn will utilize the facility to manufacture and integrate server systems and racks in the United States, providing custom hardware for Amazon's data centers. Currently, Wiwynn has invested over $1.6 billion in the facility.
