Sources reveal that on Friday, Chey Tae-won, the Chairman of SK Group, is set to visit the construction site of an AI data center located in the Ulsan National Industrial Complex. This data center is a joint venture between SK Group and Amazon. Accompanying Chairman Chey, a group of personnel will also tour the site to gain insights into the project's advancement. The data center, which is dedicated to artificial intelligence operations, represents a substantial investment, totaling an estimated 7 trillion Korean won (equivalent to approximately US$5.2 billion). Construction commenced in August of the previous year, and the center is projected to commence operations in the second half of 2027.
