According to reports from the opening ceremony of the 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo, China’s data industry is projected to expand to RMB 6.78 trillion by 2025, marking a year-on-year growth of 15.7%. As of August 2026, more than 126,000 high-quality datasets have been developed across the country, with the total data volume surpassing 1,815 petabytes (PB). This underscores the sustained and rapid expansion of the sector.
