Chris Malone, a key executive at OpenAI responsible for the construction and expansion of data centers, left the company last week. He had previously led the 'Stargate' project in collaboration with Oracle and SoftBank. The project encountered initial setbacks, prompting OpenAI to shift its focus to partnerships with cloud service providers. Currently, the related infrastructure work has been taken over by other executives. Recently, several OpenAI executives have departed, as the company undergoes senior leadership adjustments while preparing for an IPO in 2027. Additionally, OpenAI has increased its investment in computing power, raising its projected spending on computing infrastructure for 2030 from approximately $600 billion to about $750 billion.
