These findings align with visuals and statements previously released by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, confirming their cruise missile strikes on AWS's Middle East ME-South-1 region on July 21. Non-profit conflict monitoring organization ACLED further reconstructed the attack timeline, noting that the Amazon data center in Salak was struck twice by missiles on July 22 and 24. Additionally, facilities operated by Bahraini telecom company RJR in Askar—which serve as local hosting nodes for AWS's cloud infrastructure—were also targeted on July 18 and 21. This marks multiple consecutive attacks on Amazon's cloud service deployment points in Bahrain within less than a week. To date, Amazon and Bahrain's National Communications Center have not responded to requests for comment. The U.S. Department of Defense and Central Command similarly declined to issue public statements.
