On July 8, Zhang Yuhang, a second-level inspector with the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, announced that Beijing is actively enhancing its computing power infrastructure. The city is refining its computing power support system, characterized by a combination of 'super nodes and industry nodes,' to bolster the supply capabilities of intelligent computing power. Furthermore, Beijing is developing a platform for the seamless interconnection and interoperability of computing power, thereby strengthening its capacity to monitor computing resources and align supply with demand effectively.

Looking ahead, Beijing plans to solidify its computing power and data foundations by adopting a computing power layout strategy of 'building foundations within Beijing and expanding sources outside Beijing.' The city also aims to construct a computing cluster comprising ten thousand cards. This year, the scale of new intelligent computing power is projected to surpass 70,000 PFLOPS (a unit of computing speed).

In tandem with these efforts, Beijing will delve into innovative models, such as collaborative computing-electricity systems and direct green power supply. The city will also refine systems concerning data property rights, authorized operation of public data, and revenue distribution. By creating a trusted data space, Beijing seeks to enhance the ecosystem for data circulation services.

Moreover, Beijing is set to accelerate research on key technologies for embodied intelligence and the advancement of robot products. It will enhance systematic evaluation capabilities for robots and support the innovative development of intelligent terminals, including smartphones, smart computers, smart glasses, and smart home devices. Simultaneously, the city will improve its pilot-scale production service system to foster these advancements.
