Data center operator IREN has entered into a power transmission connection agreement aimed at bolstering its 800 MW data center campus currently under development in Bundaleer, South Australia. The power supply for this ambitious project is anticipated to commence by 2028. Notably, the project has successfully secured four 330 kV feeder outlets, thereby obviating the necessity for any grid upgrades. Following the public announcement of this agreement, IREN's pre-market stock price experienced a notable surge, at one point climbing by over 7%.
