The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has approved EchoStar Communications' $40 billion wireless spectrum deal, which involves selling spectrum to SpaceX and AT&T to enhance nationwide network connectivity. Specifically, EchoStar Communications will sell approximately 50 megahertz of nationwide spectrum to AT&T for $23 billion to support 5G network construction. At the same time, it will sell 65 megahertz of spectrum to SpaceX for $17 billion to enhance communication services between next-generation Starlink devices.
