On May 6, artificial intelligence company Anthropic announced a computing agreement with SpaceX, owned by Musk, to utilize the full computing capacity of its Colossus 1 data center located in Memphis, Tennessee. This data center houses over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs and will provide Anthropic with more than 300 megawatts of additional computing power over the next month, directly enhancing the service capabilities for Claude Pro and Claude Max users. Additionally, both parties have expressed their intention to collaborate on developing multi-gigawatt orbital AI computing power.
