During the conference, Zhang Yunming, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, outlined the ministry's strategic direction. He emphasized that the ministry will steer the systematic development of computing power infrastructure, foster a coordinated arrangement between green energy and computing resources, ensure comprehensive automation in computing power monitoring, and enhance the China Computing Power Platform to accurately align computing power supply with demand, thereby boosting resource utilization efficiency. Furthermore, the ministry is set to drive forward the Computing Power Enhancement Initiative, which aims to facilitate the practical application of research findings and spur innovation. It will also refine the standards governing computing power and support pioneering research into space-based computing power technology, thereby promoting the orderly growth of the space computing power sector.
