The Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, along with six other departments, has jointly unveiled the "Shanghai Action Plan for Empowering Industrial Development via Industrial Internet Platforms (2026-2028)." This plan underscores the importance of bolstering the digital and intelligent infrastructure of platforms, initiating actions to nurture industry service providers, and backing industrial internet platform enterprises in registering high-caliber vertical models. These efforts aim to elevate industry application service capabilities. Simultaneously, a specialized channel for computing power services will be set up to assist enterprises in model development, training, fine-tuning, inference deployment, and customization on computing power scheduling platforms. Furthermore, the plan mandates that industrial internet platforms enhance dynamic security testing and evaluation, thereby strengthening network and data security management through hands-on attack-defense exercises. Enterprises involved in the research, development, and application of artificial intelligence will be provided with support in line with the city’s guidelines on ‘Computing Power Vouchers’ and ‘Model Vouchers’.
