On March 28, the Runzhi (Hong Kong) Shaling Data Park, recognized as Hong Kong's largest and most formidable computing power infrastructure project, officially broke ground in Shaling, within the New Territories of Hong Kong. The project is slated to become operational within the next 42 months. Situated in the heart of Hong Kong's Northern Metropolis, the park will witness an investment of HKD 23.8 billion over its initial three-year phase. This substantial investment is projected to yield an economic output of approximately HKD 4.6 billion and create 180 technical job positions.

Spanning an expansive area of over 110,000 square meters, with a total gross floor area of 250,000 square meters, nearly 90% of the park's space will be dedicated to the construction of cutting-edge data centers. By the year 2032, the park's computing power is anticipated to soar to 180,000 PFLOPS, marking a staggering 36-fold increase compared to Hong Kong's current computing capacity.
