Microsoft pushed an emergency update KB5085516 on March 22, 2026, to fix the Microsoft account login failure in Windows 11 versions 24H2/25H2 caused by the March 10 security update KB5079473. This issue caused users to see an 'No internet connection' error when trying to log in to apps like Teams and OneDrive using a Microsoft account, even with a normal network connection, while enterprise users logging in with Microsoft Entra ID were unaffected. The update raises the system version number to 26100.8039/26200.8029, and devices with KB5079473 already installed can automatically obtain it via Windows Update or manually download and install it.
