On March 2 (local time), at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona, Spain, China Mobile made a groundbreaking announcement. The company not only showcased its proprietary Scale-Across technology—dubbed GSE-DCI (Global Scheduling Ethernet for Intelligent Computing Data Center Interconnect)—but also introduced the world's inaugural prototype of an ultra-high-capacity intelligent computing interconnect router, boasting an impressive throughput of 115.2Tbps.
This innovative technology effectively tackles four key challenges that have long plagued intelligent computing interconnect links. The prototype stands out for its exceptional high density, extended-range capabilities, and superior efficiency. It elevates the computing efficiency of cross-100-kilometer distributed AI training to a level that surpasses 98% of that achieved by a single-node cluster. This achievement not only meets the rigorous training and inference requirements for models with tens of trillions of parameters but also signifies a monumental leap forward for China in mastering the core technology of cross-intelligent computing data center interconnect networks.
