On March 3, CNBC reported that Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing division of Amazon, stated on Monday evening that two of its data centers in the United Arab Emirates and one facility in Bahrain were damaged and taken offline after drone attacks on Sunday morning last week. AWS announced on its service health dashboard that the data centers in the UAE were struck by unidentified 'objects,' triggering sparks and a fire. Meanwhile, the company is investigating power and network connectivity issues at the Bahrain facility.
