Microsoft has enabled the colorful battery icon feature on the taskbar for more devices in Windows 11 and continues to expand the availability of the new Start menu. After installing the optional update KB5077241 in February 2026, users will be more likely to experience the updated battery icon and redesigned Start menu. The colorful battery icon changes color based on battery status, such as turning green when charging and red when the battery level is low. Meanwhile, the Start menu has also been redesigned to offer a clearer hierarchy and personalized options.
