The General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has recently released a notice to spearhead the establishment of national computing power interconnection nodes. This initiative is primarily aimed at regions and pivotal industries with substantial computing power needs, with the overarching goal of creating a system that effectively matches computing power supply and demand. By achieving standardized interconnection and efficient circulation of computing power resources, the initiative seeks to bolster overall computing capabilities.

The computing power interconnection nodes will adhere to the principles of 'unified identification, unified standards, and unified rules.' In terms of identification, each node will be assigned a unique identification code via the national node, ensuring seamless integration of computing power resources into the network and market. Regarding standards, all nodes will be constructed in accordance with unified benchmarks and will achieve interconnection through standardized interfaces. As for rules, diverse computing power resources will be traded and scheduled based on uniform guidelines.

When submitting an application, the construction entity and operational entity must be distinctly identified. The construction entity's registered capital must not fall below 50 million yuan and it must demonstrate the capacity for ongoing financial support. The operational entity, on the other hand, must possess relevant telecommunications business operation permits (excluding public institutions) and have the requisite venue, equipment, and personnel for operations. Additionally, it must have no significant records of dishonesty in the past three years.
