On January 6, NVIDIA (NVDA.O) announced that its highly anticipated new 'Rubin' data center product will be available in the market this year, allowing customers to trial the technology to accelerate artificial intelligence development. NVIDIA revealed that six Rubin chips have been delivered from manufacturing partners and have successfully passed multiple key tests, with customer deployment progressing as planned. The newly launched Rubin accelerator boasts a 3.5-fold increase in training performance over the previous-generation Blackwell, with AI software running 5 times faster. NVIDIA emphasized that the operational costs of systems based on Rubin will be lower than those based on Blackwell, as they achieve the same results using fewer components. Major remote computing service providers such as Microsoft are expected to be the first to adopt this new hardware in the second half of this year.
