Institutional research reveals that in the third quarter of 2025, the worldwide spending on cloud infrastructure services soared to US$102.6 billion, marking a 25% year-on-year surge. This marks the fifth straight quarter where growth has surpassed 20%, a clear sign that the industry is on a robust growth path.

This upswing mirrors a substantial transformation in the technological sphere. Enterprise demand for artificial intelligence has evolved from initial experimental phases to extensive production-scale rollouts. Moreover, the competitive landscape among hyperscale companies has pivoted towards emphasizing platform-level capabilities.

In this quarter, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud retained their market positions from the preceding quarter. Together, they represented 66% of the global expenditure on cloud infrastructure and achieved a combined 29% year-on-year growth.
