On December 2, multiple netizens verified as Lenovo employees took to social media platforms to disclose that a sudden and extensive round of layoffs had taken place at Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) Shanghai office. This move reportedly impacted hundreds of employees, with even pregnant female staff members being affected. According to the accounts, the layoffs were communicated through a brief two-minute audio clip, leaving no room for employees to pose questions or file appeals. Moreover, the layoffs were not confined to Shanghai; they also extended to teams specializing in software, firmware, and operating systems in Beijing, Tianjin, Shenzhen, and several other cities. As of now, Lenovo has not released an official statement regarding the matter.
