Terence and Leslie Bridges, a pair hailing from Essex, England, have made history as the inaugural UK residents to employ a compact data center for heating their home. They took part in a zero-carbon transition pilot initiative specifically designed for low-income families. The setup, nestled within a garden shed and fueled by a cluster of 56 Raspberry Pi motherboards, has effectively slashed their monthly home heating expenses from £375 (around $492) to a mere £40 (approximately $52).
