Fujifilm is on the verge of introducing its high-capacity LTO Ultrium 10 series magnetic tapes. These tapes boast an impressive maximum native data storage capacity of up to 40TB and can store a staggering maximum of 100TB of compressed data. They are fully compatible with the drives designed for tapes within the same series. This innovative product leverages Fujifilm's proprietary dual-magnetic-powder composite technology, which ingeniously combines the next-generation strontium ferrite (SrFe) magnetic powder with the tried-and-true traditional barium ferrite (BaFe) magnetic powder. By meticulously controlling the nano-scale particle size and optimizing magnetic performance, Fujifilm has achieved a remarkable breakthrough in storage density.
