Amazon has lodged an accusation against PacifiCorp, a utility company headquartered in Oregon and operating under the umbrella of Berkshire Hathaway. The tech giant claims that, since 2021, PacifiCorp has fallen short of its contractual commitments to supply sufficient power for four newly launched data center projects. Consequently, one data campus has been grappling with an inadequate power supply, while a second campus has been left without any power at all. Moreover, the third and fourth campuses have not even progressed through the standard contract - signing process. This incident underscores the immense strain that the swift expansion of technological infrastructure is placing on the power grid.
