On November 3, 2025, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and OpenAI unveiled a multi-year strategic partnership. Under this agreement, AWS is set to supply OpenAI with cutting-edge infrastructure, enabling it to efficiently operate and expand its core AI workloads. This landmark deal is valued at a staggering $38 billion, with plans to further broaden its scope over the ensuing seven years.
Leveraging AWS's Amazon EC2 UltraServers, OpenAI will gain seamless access to hundreds of thousands of Nvidia GPUs. Moreover, its computing capabilities will be scalable up to tens of millions of CPUs. All these computing resources are projected to be fully deployed by the close of 2026, paving the way for potential further expansions in 2027 and subsequent years.
