Omdia: By 2030, Global 5G Fixed Wireless Access Subscribers to Soar to 150 Million

On October 30, an Omdia report revealed that the global count of 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) subscribers is projected to double by 2030. Propelled by significant markets like India and the United States, FWA is emerging as the broadband access technology with the most rapid growth.
Omdia forecasts that the worldwide number of FWA subscribers will climb from 71 million in 2024 to 150 million in 2030. Among these, 5G FWA will constitute 88% of all FWA connections. The 5G FWA market is anticipated to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 23%. This expansion will propel the total revenue from FWA services to hit $46 billion by 2030, with premium 5G services securing a larger slice of the market.
