On the 29th, the 4th China IPv6 Innovation and Development Summit was convened in Beijing. Wang Jingtao, Deputy Director of China's Cyberspace Administration, graced the opening ceremony with his presence and delivered an insightful speech. He highlighted that, since 2017, the Cyberspace Administration of China has been proactively collaborating with diverse stakeholders to propel the widespread deployment and utilization of IPv6, yielding notable accomplishments. By September 2025, the number of active IPv6 users in China had soared to 865 million, representing 77.02% of the entire internet-using population. Additionally, IPv6 traffic constituted a significant portion of both mobile and fixed network traffic. During the implementation of the '15th Five-Year Plan', it becomes imperative to further bolster innovation-driven development, deepen the integration of applications, enhance the industrial ecosystem, and fortify security measures. The summit was organized by the Expert Committee for Accelerating the Widespread Deployment and Application of IPv6. At the summit, the China IPv6 Development Report (2025) was unveiled, accompanied by the announcement of several other achievements. The event drew the attendance of over 500 delegates.
