The data center, boasting a capacity of 1 gigawatt, will serve as a powerhouse for advanced computing chips that are crucial for AI-related projects. Once fully operational, it is anticipated to create employment opportunities for 100 individuals. The company has set a target for the data center to commence operations by 2028.
Furthermore, Meta's projected capital expenditures for the current year are estimated to hit $72 billion. A significant portion of this budget will be allocated to infrastructure projects closely tied to the development of AI.
