Dell has issued a critical security alert, warning that multiple models in its Precision and Latitude series of laptops are highly susceptible to cyberattacks due to severe vulnerabilities present in the Broadcom BCM5820X chip. These laptops incorporate the chip, which harbors five critical flaws related to the ControlVault3 feature. These vulnerabilities could result in the exposure of sensitive information, facilitate remote code execution, and trigger other severe security concerns. With CVSS scores surpassing 8.0, these vulnerabilities are deemed as critically severe. Dell strongly advises users to install the latest security updates promptly. To date, no instances of these vulnerabilities being actively exploited have been reported.
