Intel has discreetly launched two fresh additions to the Core 5 series: the Core 5 120 and the Core 5 120F (sans integrated graphics). Despite being categorized under the Raptor Lake 13th Gen Core family, these processors fundamentally rely on the Alder Lake 12th Gen Core architecture. They are designed to fit the LGA 1700 socket, ensuring compatibility with multiple motherboard generations. Both chips come with 6 pure performance cores (P-cores) and 12 threads, boasting a Turbo Boost frequency that's 100MHz higher than the Core i5-12400. They also feature 18MB of cache, support for both DDR5 and DDR4 memory, making them ideal for mainstream gaming and daily office workloads. It's worth noting that these two processors omit the "i" or "Ultra" prefix in their model names.
