Drawing inspiration from amphibious creatures, Professor Sun Haiding's research group at the iGaN Lab, part of the USTC School of Microelectronics, has successfully developed an innovative amphibious self-powered UV photoelectrochemical sensor. This groundbreaking device operates seamlessly both underwater and on land, without the need for encapsulation. Leveraging this technology, the research team has constructed an all-weather waterfront UV monitoring system, ensuring continuous and reliable UV monitoring across amphibious environments. This significant advancement offers a novel approach for the design of wearable optical sensors in complex and diverse settings.
