On July 24th, the European Investment Bank (EIB) entered into a 15-year financing agreement worth €500 million with Italian energy giant Eni. This substantial funding is earmarked to support the transformation of Eni's Livorno refinery in Italy into a state-of-the-art biofuel production facility.
