A research team from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), in collaboration with the Inner Mongolia Geological Survey Institute, has discovered a novel rare earth mineral named 'neodymium Huangheite' in the Bayan Obo deposit of Inner Mongolia. This mineral, belonging to the rare earth carbonate family, is distinguished by its high neodymium content. Neodymium, a crucial element in high-performance permanent magnets, finds extensive applications in new energy vehicles, wind power generation, and the electronic information sector.
