China's 5G infrastructure has reached a milestone, with a total of 4.439 million base stations deployed nationwide. This expansive network supports over 1.081 billion 5G mobile phone users, achieving a penetration rate exceeding 75%. Remarkably, 90% of administrative villages now have access to 5G services, illustrating the widespread availability of this advanced technology. Applications of 5G span across 86 major categories of the national economy, with more than 138,000 use cases documented. Furthermore, China plays a pivotal role in shaping the global 5G landscape, leading the formulation of international standards and holding over 42% of global 5G patents. Concurrently, the country has made significant strides in pre-research for 6G technology, paving the way for future advancements in wireless communication.
