This strategic appointment aims to bolster Samsung's efforts in bridging the gap with TSMC and strengthening its competitive edge in the global chip foundry market. Additionally, Samsung has announced a significant investment of $37 billion in Texas, USA, with $17 billion earmarked for the construction of new chip manufacturing facilities, which are anticipated to commence operations by the end of next year.
