As reported by the Wall Street Journal on June 2, Tesla CEO Elon Musk earned the lowest salary among companies listed in the S&P 500 index last year, amounting to zero dollars. This circumstance stems from a substantial stock incentive plan approved for Musk in 2018, which is currently entangled in legal disputes. Despite Tesla shareholders voting twice in favor of the plan, a court has twice ruled it invalid due to flaws in its formulation process. Consequently, Musk has not received any salary from Tesla in recent years.
