On May 30, the Anhui Key Laboratory of Quantum Computing Chips announced the completion of the fifth technological iteration for Q-EDA "Origin Kunyuan," an industrial software for quantum chip design independently developed by Origin Quantum Computing (Chengdu) Technology Co., Ltd. Leveraging PDK, the software can now create the entire layout for a 72-qubit quantum chip in just 6 minutes and 50 seconds. Professor Guo Guoping, the director of the laboratory, emphasized that this advancement has shattered the technical barrier in large-scale quantum chip design, enabling the modeling and numerical calculation of tens of millions of grid quantities.
