At the midday break, the Hang Seng Index registered a 0.64% increase, while the Hang Seng Tech Index notched up gains of 1.56%.
Several sectors stood out with notable performances, including pharmaceuticals, automotive, and software services. WuXi AppTec surged over 10%, XPeng climbed more than 6%, Meituan gained over 4%, and NetEase rose more than 2%.
Conversely, sectors such as precious metals, telecommunications, and food witnessed declines. Lingbao Gold fell over 6%, China Unicom dropped more than 3%, and Zhou Heiya dipped over 1%.
Furthermore, southbound net capital inflows amounted to HK$2.074 billion.
