On May 28, the Japan Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment Association (SEAJ) released figures indicating that Japan's chip equipment sales in April surged to 447.038 billion yen, marking a 14.9% year-on-year increase and setting a new single-month record. This represents the 16th consecutive month of growth and, for the first time since statistics began in 1986, surpasses the previous high.
