On May 26, the Aerospace Information Innovation Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with domestic technology enterprises, successfully conducted a groundbreaking experiment in high-data-rate satellite-ground communication technology at the Lijiang Station. This experiment focused on a new generation of high-order high-throughput satellite-ground data transmission systems. By simulating satellite data transmission, the team achieved a remarkable communication data rate of 2100 megabits per second on a single X-band channel, employing a 128-QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) modulation and demodulation mode. This achievement represents a 75% increase in microwave communication data rates and establishes a new national record for the highest data rate on a single channel in the X-band frequency range for satellite-ground communication.
