On May 23, Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), a prominent Korean aerospace company, unveiled a collaborative agreement with an array of esteemed entities, including the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy, the Korea Institute for Industrial Technology Assessment, the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association, the Korea Fabless Industry Association, Hyundai Motor Company, LG Electronics, Doosan Robotics, and Daedong. The aim of this collaboration is to pioneer a novel chip technology capable of executing AI inference and computations autonomously on devices, without reliance on cloud or server connectivity. This advancement promises significant benefits such as real-time processing, enhanced security, and reduced power consumption. Notably, in the defense sector, these AI semiconductors must meet exceedingly high standards of security and reliability.
