Xiaomi has unveiled its groundbreaking self-developed 3nm chip, the Xuanjie O1, crafted utilizing TSMC's state-of-the-art second-generation 3nm process. Boasting an astonishing 19 billion transistors, the Xuanjie O1 delivers performance on par with Apple's A18 Pro. This milestone signifies the culmination of an eleven-year research and development journey by Xiaomi, marking a significant transition from initial forays into strategic investments in the chip industry. The mass production of the Xuanjie O1 not only mitigates Xiaomi's reliance on external suppliers but also stimulates the growth of the domestic chip industry chain, marking a pivotal moment for Chinese smartphone manufacturers in the realm of chip technology. Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, emphasized that the company will continue to augment its investment in R&D, foster technological advancements, and expedite its premiumization strategy.
