Google is piloting a groundbreaking security upgrade for Chrome that identifies compromised passwords and seamlessly generates and stores a new, fortified password upon detection. When Chrome detects that a user's password has been compromised and listed in a data breach, it proactively prompts the user to change the password during the login process. With just a click, Chrome automatically crafts a robust new password and handles the replacement, minimizing user intervention. This new password is encrypted and securely stored in Google Password Manager.
