At the midday trading break, the Hang Seng Index advanced by 0.53%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index registered a modest gain of 0.43%. Shares of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) soared by more than 11%. Notably, the precious metals, agriculture, and automotive sectors witnessed robust performances, with Chifeng Gold surging over 8%, China Agri-Products Exchange jumping over 6%, and Li Auto and BYD Co. Ltd. rising over 3% and 2%, respectively. Conversely, the semiconductor, utilities, and retail sectors lagged behind, with Youbo Holdings and Diandian Digital Intelligence declining by more than 3%, and Taizhou Water Affairs dropping over 1%. Southbound funds recorded a net inflow of HK$2.41 billion.
