During the Build 2025 conference, Microsoft unveiled a significant policy change: starting June 2025, the registration fee for individual developers on the Microsoft Store for Windows will be eliminated. Previously, individual developers were required to pay approximately $19 to publish apps on the platform. This new measure will enable individual developers to register and publish apps at no cost, while business accounts will still be subject to registration fees.
